God's Vengeance Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEFG HIHI JKLK MNMN

Saith the Lord Vengeance is mineA
I will repay saith the LordB
Ours be the anger divineA
Lit by the flash of His wordC
-
How shall His vengeance be doneD
How when His purpose is clearE
Must He come down from His throneF
Hath He no instruments hereG
-
Sleep not in imbecile trustH
Waiting for God to beginI
While growing strong in the dustH
Rests the bruised serpent of sinI
-
Right and Wrong both cannot liveJ
Death grappled Which shall we seeK
Strike only Justice can giveL
Safety to all that shall beK
-
Shame to stand paltering thusM
Tricked by the balancing oddsN
Strike God is waiting for usM
Strike for the vengeance is God'sN
