Fata Morgana Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FGFG HIHI AJAJ KLKL

O sweet illusions of songA
That tempt me everywhereB
In the lonely fields and the throngA
Of the crowded thoroughfareB
-
I approach and ye vanish awayC
I grasp you and ye are goneD
But ever by night and by dayC
The melody soundeth onE
-
As the weary traveller seesF
In desert or prairie vastG
Blue lakes overhung with treesF
That a pleasant shadow castG
-
Fair towns with turrets highH
And shining roofs of goldI
That vanish as he draws nighH
Like mists together rolledI
-
So I wander and wander alongA
And forever before me gleamsJ
The shining city of songA
In the beautiful land of dreamsJ
-
But when I would enter the gateK
Of that golden atmosphereL
It is gone and I wonder and waitK
For the vision to reappearL
