tlambe1987: I attended Geraldine Brooks talk last night at the Kentucky Author’s Forum. Much talk of Reconstruction. I revisited this Foner masterpiece after. I think this is one of the most important books I’ve read. Most sad is how things have not changed. We should be better than this.
