  • Apologies
    I’m sorry.
I’m sorry to my family for being a lousy sister and daughter. I don’t help, I’m lazy, I don’t contribute and I don’t bring anything to the table. I’m also sorry for trying harder than anyone to bring our family closer, I’m sorry all my attemps failed. I’m sorry that I won’t be trying anymore. I’m sorry that I was brought into a family with a father who’s lost touch with reality. I’m sorry that a was born from a mother who has her own issue that she’s projected onto my brother and me. I’m sorry that my older brother has much more pressure to succeed than I do, I’m sorry that he has anger issues and lashes out onto me.

I’m sorry that I have boundaries so thick that one wrong move and I’m out the door. I’m sorry for being there for you repeatedly for the same problem that I’ve given the solution to, and you’ve never listened to me. I’m sorry that I don’t put up with anyone’s bullshit, not even yours. I’m sorry to Amy who’s had life harder than anyone, but I couldn’t stay in your life. I’m sorry to Layla for leaving even if I knew that my presence helped you more than you would like to admit. I’m sorry to Angie who couldn’t find the way out. I’m sorry that I also had tough moments, but you were never there to help me the way I helped you. ...

Dwell in som idle brain,
And fancies fond with gaudy shapes possess,
As thick and numberless
As the gay motes that people the Sun Beams,
