The Reunion Of Sir T. F. Buxton And Elizabeth Fry. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF HIHI JKJE

They have met they have met now their pinions unfurlA
In that city whose pavement is goldB
Whose every gate is of one liquid pearlA
And her beauty and glory untoldB
-
That city which needeth no light from the sunC
Where the moon sheds her lustre no moreD
But where in the smile of the Crucified OneC
Countless myriads bow down and adoreD
-
One by one are the loved ones all gathering thereE
In white robes they encircle the throneF
Oh what bliss to unite where sin cannot blightG
And where parting and death are unknownF
-
They are come to Mount Zion the city of GodH
They are joined to the glorified throngI
One pathway of sorrow by all has been trodH
All sing one harmonious songI
-
Omnipotent Lord just and true are Thy waysJ
Thy works great and marvellous areK
Oh who shall not fear Thee and echo Thy praiseJ
And Thy glory and honor declareE
