On A Packet Of Letters Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK GMIM NEOE PQRQ SLTU VWXW

To day Oh not to day shall soundA
Thy mild and gentle voiceB
Nor yet to morrow will it bidC
My heart rejoiceB
-
But one one fondly treasured thingD
Is left me 'mid decayE
This record hallowed with thy thoughtsF
Of yesterdayE
-
Chaste thoughts and holy such as stillG
To purest hearts are givenH
Breathing of Earth yet wafting highI
The soul to HeavenH
-
Soaring beyond the bounds of TimeJ
Beyond the blight of DeathK
To worlds where parting is no moreL
Nor Life a breathK
-
'Tis true they whisper mournfullyG
Of buds too bright to bloomM
Of hopes that blossomed but to dieI
Around the tombM
-
Still they are sweet remembrancesN
Of life's unclouded dayE
Sketches of mind which death aloneO
Can wrench awayE
-
Memorials sad of by past hoursP
Gone with the silent deadQ
Pictured affections pencilled dreamsR
Forever fledQ
-
Forever Are they hushed indeedS
To wake again no moreL
Ties dearer far than Life itselfT
With life all o'erU
-
No Faith can point to holier climesV
And bid the soul prepareW
For deathless union that awaitsX
The faithful thereW
