Kindness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG HHHH

Kindness soothes the bitter anguishA
Kindness wipes the falling tearB
Kindness cheers us when we languishA
Kindness makes a friend more dearC
-
Kindness turns a pain to pleasureD
Kindness softens every woeE
Kindness is the greatest treasureD
That frail man enjoys belowE
-
Then how can I so frail a beingF
Hope thy kindness to repayG
My great weakness plainly seeingF
Seeing plainer every dayG
-
Oh I never can repay theeH
That I but too plainly seeH
But I trust thou wilt forgive meH
For the love I bear to theeH
