The Sad Turkey Gobbler Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDD

O a fat turkey gobbler once sat on a limbA
And he sighed at the wind and the wind sighed at himA
But the grief of the gobbler one could not diminishB
For it was Thanksgiving and he saw his finishB
So the heart of the gobbler was heavy as leadC
And he muttered the words of the poet who saidC
Backward turn backward O Time in thy flightD
Make me a boy again just for to nightD
