The County Fair Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCBB BBAA

Oh let's go out to the county fairA
And breathe the balmy country airA
And whittle a stick and look at the hossesB
Discuss the farmer's profit and lossesB
-
We'll take a look at the country stockC
And drink some milk from a dairy crockC
Look at the pigs and admire the chickensB
And try to forget it's hot as the dickensB
-
Forget there are any political ringsB
Just think of the butter and eggs and thingsB
So wash off the buggy and hitch up the mareA
And we'll all go out to the county fairA
