By A Turkey GobblerA
-
-
I'm just a turkey gobblerA
But I've got a word to sayB
And I'd like to say it quicklyC
Before I pass awayB
For I will get it in the neckD
Upon Thanksgiving DayB
-
I cannot keep from thinkingE
Of poor Marie AntoinetteF
She lost her head completelyC
But this is what I'll getF
They'll knock the stuffin' out o' meC
Without the least regretF
-
I've just a few days left nowG
Before I meet my fateH
For every turkey gets the axeI
The little and the greatH
There never was a turkey bornJ
Who didn't fill a plateH
-
Only three days left nowG
Goodness how time fliesK
It brings a sadness to my heartL
And teardrops to my eyesK
Does every turkey feel that wayB
Three days before he diesK
-
This is a very cruel worldM
I'm talking sober factsN
For I was only raised to beC
The victim of an axeI
The butt of all your silly jokesO
And all your funny cracksI
-
And when you sit down ThursdayB
How happy you will beC
Every person gathered thereP
Will eat enough for threeC
I'll be the guest of honorA
'Cause that dinner is on MEC
