Not all the slackers on life's stage | D |
Are boys of military age | D |
The old the youthful and unfit | E |
Must also do their little bit | E |

'Twill suffer if you prove untrue | A |
What though you cannot bear a gun | F |
That isn't all that's to be done | F |
There are a thousand other ways | G |
To serve your country through the days | G |
Of trial and the nights of storm | H |
You need not wear a uniform | H |
Or with the men in council sit | E |
To serve the Flag and do your bit | E |

Somewhere you have a task to face | B |
There's none so helpless or so frail | I |
That cannot when our foes assail | I |
In some way help our common cause | J |
And be deserving of applause | K |
Behind the Flag we all must be | L |
Each at his post awake to see | L |
That in so far as he has striven | F |
His best was to his country given | F |

You can be patient brave and strong | M |
And not complain when plans go wrong | M |
You can be cheerful at your toil | N |
Or till perhaps some patch of soil | N |
You can encourage others who | A |
Have heavier greater tasks to do | A |
You can be loyal not in creed | O |
Alone but in each thought and deed | O |
You can make sacrifices too | A |
