You And Your Body Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF EGEGHH ICJCKK LKLKMM

WHOM is your boy going to for adviceA
Tough Johnny Jones at the end of the streetB
Rough Billy Green or untaught Jimmy PriceA
Who is now guiding his innocent feetB
Who takes him walking or swimming todayC
You or the stranger just over the wayC
-
Whom is your boy leaning on for a friendD
Whom does he tell all his wee troubles toE
Say now with whom does your little one spendD
Most of his time with a stranger or youE
Whose hand is leading him where he should goF
Answer now Busy Man tell if you knowF
-
Who is the pal that he opens his heart toE
You or some stranger you never have seenG
Whom does your boy all his secrets impart toE
Maybe to some one whose mind is uncleanG
If it isn't to you that he comes he's in dangerH
What do you know of the worth of the strangerH
-
Oh be a boy with a boy that is yoursI
Play with him stay with him show him the wayC
Walk with him talk with him take him out doorsJ
Be his best friend as you ought to todayC
Take him down town so the youngster may seeK
The right sort of man that you want him to beK
-
Don't be too busy to hear what he's tellingL
Don't send him off when he comes to your kneeK
This sort of father disaster is spellingL
He's hungry for you and his pal you should beK
Spend all the time that you can with the ladM
He'll be a good boy if you'll be a good dadM
