The Way Of The World Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGDGD HIHIABAB

IT'S ALL in the way that you look at the worldA
It's all in the way that you do thingsB
With laughter or sorrow your lips may be curledA
But it's all in the way that you view thingsB
Yes it's all in the way that you journey alongC
That makes life a plague or a pleasureD
The mind is the fountain of wailing or songC
And a man is the judge of the measureD
-
It's all in the way that you look at your woeE
And not in the woe that is sent youF
You may bear it with courage and smile as you goE
Or frown and let it discontent youF
For care is a creature that's born of the mindG
And gloom is a cloud we can scatterD
The thorn of the rose if we seek we can findG
But the thorn of the rose doesn't matterD
-
We can make our own sunshine and make our own mirthH
We can add to our trouble by mopingI
We can make a grim graveyard of this glad old earthH
By giving up loving and hopingI
For it's all in the way that we look at the worldA
Yes it's all in the way that we view thingsB
With sorrow or laughter our lips may be curledA
For it's all in the way that we do thingsB
