The Summer Argument Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHIH

SHE wants to go unto the shoreA
And pack her trunkB
With gowns no one has seen beforeA
And all such junkB
-
But I would seek some far off placeC
Where I 'm unknownD
And let my whiskers deck my faceC
And be aloneD
-
She sighs for parties and for teasE
They are her wishF
I merely want to take my easeE
And loaf and fishF
-
She wants to lead a life that's grandG
In silken skirtsH
I want to wear old trousers andI
My outing shirtsH
