It has no time to stop and pet | B |
The sulker in a peevish fret | B |
Who wails he'll neither work nor play | C |

The world keeps plodding right along | D |
And gives its favors right or wrong | D |
To all who have the grit to work | E |
Regardless of the fool or shirk | E |
The world says this to every man | F |
'Go out and do the best you can ' | - |

The world's too busy to implore | G |
The beaten one to try once more | G |
'Twill help him if he wants to rise | H |
And boost him if he bravely tries | H |
And shows determination grim | I |
But it won't stop to baby him | I |

The world is occupied with men | J |
Who fall but quickly rise again | J |
But those who whine because they're hit | K |
And step aside to sulk a bit | K |
Are doomed some day to wake and find | L |
The world has left them far behind | L |
