The need of worldly things | G |
Though fame may come in after years | H |

And plaudits of the crowd | I |
'T is not for them man toils today | C |
But that his wife and babies may | C |
Be decently endowed | I |

To give to those in need | K |
Is after all man's purpose true | L |
'T is all the good man hopes to do | L |
For more than that is greed | K |
The greatest things are done by those | M |
Who face privation and its woes | M |
And seek to climb above them | N |
The men who rise to fame you'll find | O |
Take thought of first and keep in mind | O |
The needs of those who love them | N |
