The Little Home Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF GGHHII

The little house is not too smallA
To shelter friends who come to callA
Though low the roof and small its spaceB
It holds the Lord's abounding graceB
And every simple room may beC
Endowed with happy memoryC
-
The little house severly plainD
A wealth of beauty may containD
Within it those who dwell may findE
High faith which makes for peace of mindE
And that sweet understanding whichF
Can make the poorest cottage richF
-
The little house can hold all thingsG
From which the soul's contentment springsG
'Tis not too small for love to growH
For all the joys that mortals knowH
For mirth and song and that delightI
Which make the humblest dwelling brightI
