The Kindergarten Miss Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABCCCCCAACCDEFC AAGHIIIHDDCCCCGCThe little kindergarten miss | A |
Source of all my joy and bliss | A |
Every evening in the window | B |
Waits and watches just for me | C |
Waits and watches for her daddy | C |
And I see her waving paddie | C |
As I hurry hurry homeward | C |
In the twilight joyfully | C |
Then when I have snatched a kiss | A |
That sweet kindergarten miss | A |
Cries 'Now daddy come and see it | C |
Come and see what I have made | C |
Here's a picture frame for you | D |
Made of paper white and blue ' | E |
And I look upon her labors | F |
Half exulting half afraid | C |
- | |
Oh you kindergarten miss | A |
You have made far more than this | A |
You have made my heart beat faster | G |
Than it ever beat before | H |
As your little work you 're showing | I |
You have set my eyes to glowing | I |
And my tears will start up flowing | I |
In another minute more | H |
Though this picture frame of blue | D |
Doesn't now mean much to you | D |
Little kindergarten lassie | C |
It's a treasure rare to me | C |
And those fingers that have made it | C |
On my heart have also laid it | C |
And your face is in the center | G |
For the god of love to see | C |
