The Call To Service Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDD EFCFGG

These are the days when little thoughtsA
Must cease men's minds to occupyB
The nation needs men's larger creedsC
Big men must answer to her cryB
No longer selfish ways we treadD
The greater task lies just aheadD
-
These are the days when petty thingsE
By all men must be thrust asideF
The country needs men's finest deedsC
Awakened is the nation's prideF
Men must forsake their selfish strifeG
Once more to guard their country's lifeG
