So Easy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH AIAIJKJK LMLMCACA

So easy to say what another should doA
So easy to settle his caresB
So easy to tell him what roads to pursueA
And dispose of the burdens he bearsB
It is easy to bid him be brave and strongC
And to make all his shortcomings knownD
But O it's so hard when the care and the wrongC
And the dangers we face are our ownD
-
It is easy to stand in another man's placeE
When our comforts of life are assuredF
And the sting of the rain beating sharp in his faceE
By him must be bravely enduredF
It is easy to tell him the path he should takeG
And to bid him to laugh at his careH
But O it's so hard when it's our hearts that acheG
And we have the burdens to bearH
-
We all know the things that another should doA
His faults are like books on our shelvesI
We can ponder them over and read and reviewA
But we haven't a book on ourselvesI
We can settle the other man's troubles each dayJ
His griefs we can calmly discussK
It is easy to sweep all his troubles awayJ
But we can't do the same thing for usK
-
The need of another it's easy to seeL
When our own wants are all satisfiedM
And bold and courageous it's easy to beL
When it isn't our souls that are triedM
But O it's so hard when we're stumbling alongC
To keep ourselves steadfast and trueA
It is easy to tell someone else to be strongC
It's easier to talk than to doA
