Slumberland Time Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDCD EFEFDGDG HIHIJKJK

he sea is now golden and stillA
And the big yellow moon has come up in the skyB
And the Sandman is home from the hillA
The fairy boat waits for my baby to startC
For the wonderful harbor of dreamsD
Where there's never a care for the dear little heartC
And the world is as bright as it seemsD
-
It is Slumberland time and the sighing is doneE
The hurts of the day are all wellF
The wee childish troubles all passed with the sunE
Now the Sandman is ringing his bellF
The big yellow moon lights the way with his beamsD
To the land where my baby shall goG
Where the night time's a round of most wonderful dreamsD
And there's never a sorrow to knowG
-
It is Slumberland time and the tears are all driedH
And the dream ship is putting to seaI
My baby must sail o'er the rest ocean wideH
Till the morn brings her safely to meI
Toss gently O Slumberland breezes her curlsJ
Be kind to her fairies I prayK
Let never a sad dream be my little girl'sJ
Till the sunbeams shall call her to playK
