Silent Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFE GHIH JKJK

I did not argue with the manA
It seemed a waste of wordsB
He gave to chance the wondrous planA
That gave sweet song to birdsB
-
He gave to force the wisdom wiseC
That shaped the honeybeeD
And made the useful butterfliesC
So beautiful to seeD
-
And as we walked 'neath splendid treesE
Which cast a friendly shadeF
He said 'Such miracles as theseE
By accident were made '-
-
Too well I know what accidentG
And chance and force discloseH
To think blind fury could inventI
The beauty of a roseH
-
I let him talk and answered notJ
I merely thought it oddK
That he could view a garden plotJ
And not believe in GodK

PalauBoy: I love this poem. Especially since it is a poem that speaks truth. GOD did create ALL. You, me, gardens, the world and everything else
