One-sided Faith Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH HIHJKLKL

I KNOW the rose will bloom againA
As soon as it is JuneB
The robin will return by thenA
To sing his merry tuneB
I know the wintry cold will passC
The gray clouds change to blueD
But I think my present woe alasC
Must last my whole life throughD
-
I view my little garden bareE
And smile from day to dayF
I know the green will glisten thereE
As soon as it is MayF
I face the winter brave of heartG
I know that it will goH
But every little ache and smartG
Sets me to grieving soH
-
If I can view the winter's snowH
My garden desolateI
And smile because right well I knowH
If I will only waitJ
The days of spring will soon returnK
And bring me back the roseL
Have I not wit enough to learnK
That time will cure my woesL
