My Land Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGHIJIJ KEKELMLMNHNH

My land is where the kind folks areA
And where the friends are trueB
Where comrades brave will travel farA
Some kindly deed to doB
My land is where the smiles are brightC
And where the speech is sweetD
And where men cling to what is rightC
Regardless of defeatD
My land is where the starry flagE
Gleams brightly in the sunF
The land of rugged mountain cragE
The land where rivers runF
Where cheeks are tanned and hearts are boldG
And women fair to seeH
And all is not a strife for goldG
That land is home to meH
My land is where the children playI
And where the roses bloomJ
And where to break the peaceful dayI
No flaming cannons boomJ
My land's the land of honest toilK
Of laughter dance and songE
Where harvests crown the fertile soilK
And thoughtful are the strongE
My land's the land of many creedsL
And tolerance for allM
It is the land of 'splendid deedsL
Where men are seldom smallM
And though the world should bid me roamN
Its distant scenes to seeH
My land would keep my heart at homeN
And there I'd always beH
