Little Fishermen Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDEE FFGGHHII JJKKLLMM NNGGOOPP

A little ship goes out to seaA
As soon as we have finished teaA
Off yonder where the big moon glowsB
This tiny little vessel goesB
But never grown up eyes have seenC
The ports to which this ship has beenD
Upon the shore the old folks standE
Till morning brings it back to landE
-
In search of smiles this little shipF
Each evening starts upon a tripF
Just smiles enough to last the dayG
Is it allowed to bring awayG
So nightly to some golden shoreH
It must set out alone for moreH
And sail the rippling sea for milesI
Until the hold is full of smilesI
-
By gentle hands the sails are spreadJ
The stars are glistening overheadJ
And in that hour when tiny shipsK
Prepare to make their evening tripsK
The sea becomes a wondrous placeL
As beautiful as mother's faceL
And all the day's disturbing criesM
Give way to soothing lullabiesM
-
No clang of bell or warning shoutN
Is heard on shore when they put outN
The little vessels slip awayG
As silently as does the dayG
And all night long on sands of goldO
They cast their nets and fill the holdO
With smiles and joys beyond compareP
To cheer a world that's sad with careP
