Lemon Pie Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABCBC DEDEACAC FGFGBCBC

The world is full of gladnessA
There are joys of many kindsA
There's a cure for every sadnessA
That each troubled mortal findsA
And my little cares grow lighterB
And I cease to fret and sighC
And my eyes with joy grow brighterB
When she makes a lemon pieC
-
When the bronze is on the fillingD
That's one mass of shining goldE
And its molten joy is spillingD
On the plate my heart grows boldE
And the kids and I in chorusA
Raise one glad exultant cryC
And we cheer the treat before usA
Which is mother's lemon pieC
-
Then the little troubles vanishF
And the sorrows disappearG
Then we find the grit to banishF
All the cares that hovered nearG
And we smack our lips in pleasureB
O'er a joy no coin can buyC
And we down the golden treasureB
Which is known as lemon pieC
