If Those Who Love Us Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

F those who love us find us trueA
And kind and gentle and are gladB
When each grim working day is throughA
To have us near them why be sadB
-
If those who know us best rejoiceC
In what we are and hold us dearD
What matter if the stranger's voiceC
Shall speak the bitter jibe and jeerD
-
If those who cling to us still smileE
Though grim misfortune has us downF
If they still think our work worth whileE
What matters it if strangers frownF
