Hard Luck Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEFDD GGHHAAGGIIHH GGIIJJKKLLMM

Ain't no use as I can seeA
In sittin' underneath a treeA
An' growlin' that your luck is badB
An' that your life is extry sadB
Your life ain't sadder than your neighbor'sC
Nor any harder are your laborsC
It rains on him the same as youD
An' he has work he hates to doD
An' he gits tired an' he gits crossE
An' he has trouble with the bossF
You take his whole life through an' throughD
Why he's no better off than youD
-
If whinin' brushed the clouds awayG
I wouldn't have a word to sayG
If it made good friends out o' foesH
I'd whine a bit too I supposeH
But when I look around an' seeA
A lot o' men resemblin' meA
An' see 'em sad an' see 'em gayG
With work t' do most every dayG
Some full o' fun some bent with careI
Some havin' troubles hard to bearI
I reckon as I count my woesH
They're 'bout what everybody knowsH
-
The day I find a man who'll sayG
He's never known a rainy dayG
Who'll raise his right hand up an' swearI
In forty years he's had no careI
Has never had a single blowJ
An' never known one touch o' woeJ
Has never seen a loved one dieK
Has never wept or heaved a sighK
Has never had a plan go wrongL
But allas laughed his way alongL
Then I'll sit down an' start to whineM
That all the hard luck here is mineM
