Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD AAEE FFGG

For all the beauties of the dayA
The innocence of childhood s playA
For health and strength and laughter sweetB
Dear Lord our thanks we now repeatB
-
For this our daily gift of foodC
We offer now our gratitudeC
For all the blessings we have knownD
Our debt of gratefulness we ownD
-
Here at the table now we prayA
Keep us together down the wayA
May this our family circle beE
Held fast by love and unityE
-
Grant when the shades of night shall fallF
Sweet be the dreams of one and allF
And when another day shall breakG
Unto Thy service may we wakeG
