Gossip Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DECE CFGF

A FELLOW can't help hearingA
Hateful things about anotherB
But a fellow can be carefulC
Not to tell them to his brotherB
-
Sit and listen if you want toD
When the spiteful things are saidE
But don't pass on the scandalC
Keep a still tongue in your headE
-
Spread no little tale of evilC
Whether right or whether wrongF
You may barken unto gossipG
But don't send the tale alongF
