Aw Gee Whiz! Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDB EEFFGD HHIIJJ KKLLDD

Queerest little chap he isA
Always saying 'Aw Gee Whiz 'B
Needing something from the storeC
That you've got to send him forC
And you call him from his playD
Then it is you hear him sayD
'Aw Gee Whiz 'B
-
Seems that most expressive phraseE
Is a part of childhood daysE
Call him in at supper timeF
Hands and face all smeared with grimeF
Send him up to wash and heG
Answers you disgustedlyD
'Aw Gee Whiz '-
-
When it's time to go to bedH
And he'd rather play insteadH
As you call him from the streetI
He comes in with dragging feetI
Knowing that he has to goJ
Then it is he mutters lowJ
'Aw Gee Whiz '-
-
Makes no difference what you askK
Of him as a little taskK
He has yet to learn that lifeL
Crosses many a joy with strifeL
So when duty mars his playD
Always we can hear him sayD
'Aw Gee Whiz '-
