A Warm House And A Ruddy Fire Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEFGHHAAIIJJAAKK

A warm house and a ruddy fireA
To what more can man aspireB
Eyes that shine with love aglowC
Is there more for man to knowC
Whether home be rich or poorD
If contentment mark the doorE
He who finds it good to liveF
Has the best that life can giveG
This the end of mortal strifeH
Peace at night to sweeten lifeH
Rest when mind and body tireA
At contentment's ruddy fireA
Rooms where merry songs are sungI
Happy old and glorious youngI
These if perfect peace be knownJ
Both the rich and poor must ownJ
A warm house and a ruddy fireA
These the goals of all desireA
These the dream of every manK
Since God spoke and life beganK
