A Heart To Heart Talk Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCADA EFEFGAGA AHAHBABA

THEY tell me that I 'm spoiling youA
I The neighbors say that you should beB
For all the awful things you doA
Laid face down over daddy's kneeB
And spanked and put to bed That 'a whatC
The neighbors say but what say youA
You think you should be loved a lotD
Well somehow daddy thinks so tooA
-
They tell me that it isn't rightE
For me always to take your partF
I've heard it said you often fightE
And that you'll break your mother's heartF
The neighbors say that you are badG
And should be whipped but what say youA
You think you are too small a ladG
To whip Well daddy thinks so tooA
-
What would you do if I were youA
And you were daddy and they cameH
And told as people always doA
My little deeds and cried 'For shame'H
Would you put me across your kneeB
And spank me as you ought to doA
What's that You think you 'd try to beB
Forgiving Well I think so tooA
