Authors: Eden Phillpotts

Published Date: 2015-02-11
Categories: Fiction
Originally published in 1917, 'The Banks of the Colne' is a novel by English author Eden Phillpotts. Phillpotts was a prolific novelist, most notable of which was his collection of 18 books that constituted the 'Dartmoor Cycle' (a series of novels all set in the English moorland) but he also penned poetry and works for the stage. Two of his plays he co-authored with his daughter, Adelaide Phillpotts. Although much of his work is now out of print, Phillpotts still has many avid readers: a testament to his enduring appeal. To complement this republication, a brand new short introductory biography of the author has been included.
