Tears Of Depression Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABC DDDC EFGC DHIC JJJC

Down in dark dungeon of gloomA
Drab dreary doom drapes the roomA
Sullen and bereft of the sight of moonB
I lay still and broken wishing I dieC
-
The birds sing me inspirationD
The wind blows me motivationD
The sun radiates me activationD
But still am cold because I dieC
-
My lovers love seem only a dinnerE
After a night it becomes staleF
When the night dies it dies tooG
And at dawn am frail because I dieC
-
My mouth drools poisonD
My eyes drip bloodH
My nose exhales smokeI
Because inside my cells I dieC
-
Will the world ever see the pure meJ
The weak me eclipses the real meJ
Oh how I desire to live the true meJ
But whilst I dream on right now I dieC

Poet's note: It's January 2021 and I keep hearing and seeing lots of saddening occurrences happening all around, in addition to the covid 19 pandemic that has shut the world down. The whole thing feels like, for every passing second, there's somebody somewhere shedding tears of sorrow and getting sorely depressed. So I put myself in their shoes and roll out the words that might have inundated their fragile hearts. I just hope the words of these poem provide some sort of comfort and healing.
