Symbols Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBADEFEDFNo more of gold and marble nor of snow | A |
And sunlight and vemilion would I make | B |
My vision and my symbols nor would take | B |
The auroral flame of some prismatic floe | A |
Nor iris of the frail and lunar bow | C |
Flung on the shafted waterfalls that wake | B |
The night's blue slumber in a shadowy lake | B |
To body forth my fantasies and show | A |
Communicable mystery I would find | D |
In adamantine darkness of the earth | E |
Metals of any sun and bring | F |
Black azures of the nether sea to birth | E |
Or fetch the secret splendid leaves and blind | D |
Blue lilies of an Atlantean spring | F |
