If Only Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAADBAEFGFHE

If I might only love my God and dieA
But now He bids me love Him and live onB
Now when the bloom of all my life is goneC
The pleasant half of life has quite gone byA
My tree of hope is lopped that spread so highA
And I forget how summer glowed and shoneD
While autumn grips me with its fingers wanB
And frets me with its fitful windy sighA
When autumn passes then must winter numbE
And winter may not pass a weary whileF
But when it passes spring shall flower againG
And in that spring who weepeth now shall smileF
Yea they shall wax who now are on the waneH
Yea they shall sing for love when Christ shall comeE
