Who is Charles Stanley

Charles Frazier Stanley (born 1932) is Pastor Emeritus of First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, after serving as senior pastor for 49 years. He is the founder and president of In Touch Ministries, which widely broadcasts his sermons through television and radio. He also served two one-year terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention, from 1984 to 1986.Early life and educationStanley was born on September 25, 1932, in Dry Fork, Pittsylvania County, Virginia. His father, also named Charles, died nine months later. Stanley grew up in rural Dry Fork on the outskirts of Danville. Veronica: Dr Stanley, was the best bible teacher and preacher in my lifetime. I learned a lot of daily truths, practical bible facts, how to be the best example even if you don't feel like it. How to act about wrong thinking and what to do with it. How to think about God, Christ and the Holy Spirit. There is not enough space to say what I want to. Thanks God for a man like Dr Charles. Rest in peace. We will miss you every day. Your place on TV will be empty as well as our hearts.
