Child Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIA

The young child Christ is straight and wiseA
And asks questions of the old men questionsB
Found under running water for all childrenC
And found under shadows thrown on still watersD
By tall trees looking downward old and gnarledE
Found to the eyes of children alone untoldF
Singing a low song in the lonelinessG
And the young child Christ goes on askingH
And the old men answer nothing and only know loveI
For the young child Christ straight and wiseA
