| Yet in the shaking pulse the weeping deep | E |
| I cultivate the quiet that must keep | E |

| To love is not to hold with desperate hand | F |

| But trace the shifting patterns in the sand | F |
| And in the ache of letting go the vine | G |
| I find a secret sacred and divine | G |
