To The R.a.f Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE FGHGIDJD

Never since English ships went outA
To singe the beard of SpainB
Or English sea dogs hunted deathC
Along the Spanish MainB
Never since Drake and Raleigh wonD
Our freedom of the seasE
Have sons of Britain dared and doneD
More valiantly than theseE
-
Whether at midnight or at noonF
Through mist or open skyG
Eagles of freedom all our heartsH
Are up with you on highG
While Britain's mighty ghosts look downI
From realms beyond the sunD
And whisper as their record palesJ
Their breathless deep Well DoneD
