Livestock Takeover

Olute Aete

Man, oh man!
You thought you were in charge,
Of the slaughterhouses,
But the livestock have taken over.

Our four-legged friends,
Have gained control,
And things are looking,
A little different around here.

Gone are the days,
Of indiscriminate killing,
And animal abuse.

The livestock have implemented strict measures,
To ensure the most humane,
And painless methods of slaughter.

Are we not ashamed,
That it took animals to intervene,
To finally ensure,
Their deaths are not as obscene?

They've even hired veterinarians,
To oversee the entire process,
Because let's face it,
Humans just can't be trusted,
With something as important as this.

Should we still call ourselves,
The more intelligent species,
When it takes animal intervention,
To institute processes with moral reasons?

But fear not, dear humans,
The livestock haven't forgotten about you.

They are determined,
To make sure that your meat consumption,
Is still met with the highest level of satisfaction.

They've started breeding programs,
To ensure the juiciest and tastiest cuts of meat.

And have even started experimenting,
With new flavor profiles,
To keep things interesting.

And the best part?

They've made sure to prioritize,
Sustainability and ethical practices,

Ensuring that our environment,
Isn't being destroyed in the process.

So, there you have it folks.

The livestock have taken over,
And are doing a better job,
At managing the slaughterhouses,
Than we ever could.

Maybe it's time for us,
To take a step back,
And leave things to the experts.

After all,
They do have a stake in the game.
