African Love: The Eternal Orutu

Olute Aete

By the savannahs, the Baobab trees stand tall,
Her touch, like the waterfalls, rejuvenates all,
I am captivated by her Nyakarondo beauty,
Her sight, a divine African testimony.

Her touch, like the rhythm of the Mbuta upon my teeth,
Stirs my heart, in a dance that never gets tired,
Her beauty, like the sunrise over the Serengeti,
My love for her, like a Maasai warrior's duty.

Can you feel the joy of my song?
Like the dance of the Luhyas,
Doesn't it celebrates you, and never tire
As the Isukuti's rhythm inspires.

My heart beats with love and Orutu,
Admiring a Queen, in her grace and strength, so true,
And a bond, like the Orutu rhythm that connects me to her's all,
My love for her, a precious African shawl.

Do you crave to behold the future of our love?
Like the path of the Ramogi hills,
Which with strength climbs, and never stills.
As the Nyangile's tune takes one to their wills.

Her essence, like the scent of African soil,
Nourishing my soul, with love's sweet toil,
And a bond, like the African continent, so vast,
My love for her, like an African drum that lasts.

The sunset's hues, a love poem of Africa,
A personification of a lasting love, tender and grandeur,
Embracing her, in the rhythm of an African song,
My love for her, like a never-ending Marimba gong.

My love, like the majestic Victoria Falls,
With a roar of melodies, that break into many tunes,
Your diversities, like the Orutu stings, that unites us all,
My love for you, like a Ndebele painting of a Kraal.

Does the pulse of this infectious love beat in your Bossom?
Like the movement of the Luo Nyatiti,
Could you let its rhythm flow through your veins, and sets you free.
As the Kokech's voices sing sweetly.

My love, like an African rainbow after the rain,
A masterpiece of colors, that is never faint,
Your embrace, like a warm and cozy Kikoi,
My love for you, my love for you, like an African Hera-mar joy.

Please taste the the joy of Luo love?
Like the laughter of a thousand children,
Which fills a woman's heart with delight, and sanctifies sour unions.

My heart sings with the love of Orutu,
Your happiness, my love's cosmic breakthrough,
A love that's loyal, a love that's true and Orutu,
Infused with Onyoso, Obwolo, and Det-bony.

The soul of a Luo love?
Is a reflection in a crystal-clear lake,
It shows us we are Jo-Cham Ngege, and what we create.

Our love, like a never-ending Savannah,
With hearts of the Maasai, warrior-strong and powerful,
Your happiness, like the tunes of Orutu that lifts us up,
My love for you, like a Swahili proverb, a never-fading cup.

Could you feel the power of our love?
Like the strength of the awesome Nandi bull,
It overcomes all, and never dulls.
As the benga anthem pulls.

We'll never surrender or give in, our love, Orutu unstoppable,
Through joy and pain, our bond's strength uncappable,
A love that's infinite, a love that's Orutu,
Guided by African love, Orutu, and our hearts anew.

Our love, like a tree with roots that go deep,
Stronger and more resilient, with every leap,
Our bond, like a hut in an African continuum,
My love for you, like the Orutu that keeps us as one.

Don't you hear the heartbeat of our love?
Like the rhythm of the Kenyan nation,
It unites us with love and passion.
As our diversity beats in unison..
