Oh you thought this would be formal
Did I tell you I was normal
After you left with no address?
January
I am the ninth
My reputation's never been so whistled
It was like me for me.
February
Amidst the thirst
She made many promises she could break
So she made me a drink.
March
I drank and marched on and on
Through the wastelands through the highways
Till my shadows turned to sunrays.
April
I turned off the rays
Leaving the sun in it's shadows
Though they know me
I wasn't scared of the dark.
May
Amidst the dark
I fled south
Leaving the north
To a place we laughed for moms
We don't know who the father is.
June
She laid her heart
In such a place that I call home
To find what I've become
I always walked the path alone
I lived, I loved... I lied.
July
Did I say I lied?
Often true but not
But I was beautiful unbattered
Like diamonds unshattered
I drank you a portion
Dried you an ocean
And gave you all I got.
August
You were august to me
Like my heart built in August
You gave me august feelings
Free of lusts but did I realise?
I think I did but lied.
September
I didn't forget to remember
All the spaces you had left
I didn't forget how tied
My heart was in contempt.
October
I became freed
As I walked past my shadows
My hearts thought it was greed
But it was for us
Didn't I get what we need?
November
It wasn't a walk in the park
Being alone looking faded
So lost and bewildered
Amidst every hindrance
Omar remained the same
Beautiful unbattered
Like diamonds unshattered.
December
In thankful words
I wish that I didn't know
Where broken August go
I wish my heart was made of bones
Perhaps if it was mirror of you
I'd have loved you black and blue
Though you were just a jewel.
To all the beauties I lost
To those whom I have hurt
To the good bad and ugly times
To the bitter October limes
I say Goodbye to trying times.
