It's the forenoon of Sunday
I'm gazing steadily on the flowers of Africa
Wondering how they are still standing
In this season of brought
Pondering how they are still blossoming
With souls swilled by plight
While soils ran out of nutrients
And rivers lost its waters.
Meanwhile it lit up our grazing land
And we lost everything we had on hand
Whereas we lost our sources of nourishment
And made feel not at home in our environment
I I detect smoke of change
Yet fellows are still smiling like the olden days
They refuse to be held in hostage
Reality remains things ain't done the old ways
The world turned
We can no longer hold hands and jam together
The world transformed
We can no longer hug and rejoice as one
What element did the Celetial use on us?
To be this quick-witted with the virus
Children are orphans yet they are at school
Waves are widows but they go to church
I diagnose them with faith.
Through trails we still hope for a better tomorrow
We repudiate living in dejection and sorrow look how far we have come
The tribulations we survived
I salute you Mzantsi for lifting the flag up
You are the unyielding rocks
The unshakable mountains
You are vigorous pillars
Because of you South Africa stands.
