Bear The Fear

Kehinde Bashir Akinola

I will shout aloud to the world
And bear the news to the few
The truth to all will be hurled
So by heart they know my hue
And seek the fear of the Lord

No deity is worthy of worship
But the Lord of jinn and mankind
No one can match His Lordship
In Him all truthful light I find
As His slave I do fear my Lord

Tell the poor of what they miss
That their Lord is full of good
And their abode is that of bliss
The fact should all be understood
Should they think and fear their Lord

Tell the rich of which they possess
That to Him is the heavens and earth
If to the broke with specie address
Theirs is ease in time of dearth
So let them join in fearing the Lord

Warn the learned of their own desires
That the deen needs not addenda
But should mend their own attires
For He needs their End's agenda
Let them praise and fear their Lord

Tell followers to shine their face
And be alert of what they receive
Let them prove before they embrace
To be free of the devils that deceive
And rise to the fear of their Lord

Warn society of the evils they cause
And bigwigs for their excess of needs
Let them bring the vices to a pause
So their deeds not recoil on their seeds
But if they think and fear their Lord

Tell schools of the faults they train
Which cause their wards to be rude
Warn tutors of the excess they gain
But in class much of work they elude
Let them stick to the fear of the Lord

Tell dutiful parents to shun bias
And be equal among their subjects
But guide to the path of the pious
In the future to avoid bad effects
But if they think and fear their Lord

Warn court of what they judge
That to Him is the final return
And He'll right the truth they fudge
But the Lord won't come with spurn
Should they rue and fear their Lord

Tell government of their pack of lies
And the promise of which they break
How they live and rule in disguise
And devour our land's national cake
They'll lose bar they fear their Lord

Tell marriage to live with trust
And to another let each be kind
In their duty should always be just
And act as their creed defined
Their hearts should fear their Lord

Tell friendship to enjoin but peace
And to work to other's support
And to make their faith increase
When in feud, to the Qur'aan resort
And judge with fear of their Lord

And tell them that want peace to reign
To strive in the path that is straight
Ourselves will join the campaign
And we will work to make it great
And ensure the fear of the Lord
