On The Moors At Midday.

Geoffrey Heath Price

On the moors at midday
In the cold wind driven rain
Huddled behind a dry stone wall
Through one more storm again.
Just above Bronte falls
For a moment I thought
Stood a figure quite thin
Looking pale and distraught,
Could it be Emily Jane
Or a mere illusion?
Had the storm fogged my brain
Turned my mind to confusion?
**********
On the moors at midday
Through one mo storm again
Huddled behind a dry stone wall
In the biting wind and rain.
