Gone But Here
What if the sky isn't calm and the storm is here,
The unsaid are said and the thoughts ain't clear,
Pain isn't pain and the names are forgotten, everything starts with "Dear"
The fluent me is now a stammerer,
All I can say is "I can't believe how"
And your response is "it's over now"
Ohhh,no!
So this is how it feels breaking down,
How I wish I knew about tomorrow,
I wouldn't plant a smile just to reap sorrow,
For better and for worse is now solo,
Now I know why your favorite slogan was YOLO,
Dawn, afternoon, evening,
Am mourning,am griefing,
You burnt all the sacrifice I was giving,
Big boys don't cry but this one is shivering,
From the light to the darkness,
It was fine and now it's madness,
That's what was unexpected of you,
I was high and you took me low,
Gave me little so I could beg for more,
Out of the egg you chose the whole yolk,
That was so unexpected of you ,
I've been praying for days,
I take you a mile and you take me Miles,
But you gave me an amputation of my life,
You gave me a confession for the whole of my life,
Everything is a testimony of how you held the knife,
Food for thought, that's what you let me serve,
You asked for my heart and you could spare a single nerve,
You gave me an amputation of my life,
From the sun to the storm to the rain,
Every smile gives rise to a cry again and again,
You were the best choice I made in my life,
And now you're a testimony the whole of my life
Thank you for the new me,
Because of all my enemies,
You took me to a certified CME!
