Waiting For Love

I waited lonely like a hatchling
Hoping for worms from the mother
My solace, my only comfort
Left me here since the nine struck
I wait in earnest wishing for rain
In this time when I really need you
Please come back to me
Come and revive my jaded heart
For my strength no more last
Fill my empty veins with running rivers
Make me warm by the warmth of thy hug
Keep me alive by the kiss of thy lips
I lie at your door like the doormat
Wake me up by the step of your shoes
If you wish to see me again
Please come back now my angel
For you have journeyed long
Return with my heart, for I'm dying
If you don't come and meet me
Know that you kept too long
