Goodbyes

Turned from left to right
Strangers all around
With confusion drawn not only on my face
My mind went blank
All I could recall
Was that last goodbye with the sad wave
And the wheels screeching away
I was left to my fate
To fight alone as a beginner
Too far away from comfort
Lightweight wooden boxes stored the food
Living strictly under rules
It felt like in a foreign prison
Like a fish left on the beach to survive
Few days passed away so slowly
And I had my team; my mates
It was us against the amateurs and the lions
The journey seemed endless to us
The suffering and the pain
Sharing each other's sorrow
Individually we came but happily lived together
Soon it was time
Time to depart individually
Not as ninoes as we came but as heroes
And now to my friends, my team
With a happy wave, I say goodbye
